Flow measurement system inspection services to the water utilities and industrial water dischargers
Critical Flow Systems Ltd (CFS) is the largest MCERTs company, providing flow measurement system inspection services to the water utilities and industrial water dischargers.
With four inspectors and two trainees, CFS has carried out more than 2000 inspections since the MCERTS scheme was introduced. The company also provides on‐site servicing and calibration, detailed designs and temporary flow surveys. Comprehensive training courses are also available, which make use of a purpose built test and research flow rig.
Although the majority of flow measurement systems utilise standard structures such as weirs and flumes, inspections can be carried out on all other methods of flow measurement. The flow rig facility, at the company’s headquarters near Cheltenham, enables CFS to assess new and developing technologies.
Unique to CFS is Mflow software. This powerful software suite has been developed by CFS to provide accurate flow computations and detailed uncertainty analysis for all flow measurement systems.
