Non contact sensors Measurement Sensors
Non contact sensors from Panasonic use both optical laser and inductive eddy current techniques in their range of measurement sensors. Optical triangulation using laser beams allows the sensors to measure with a resolution of 0.01µm.
The high end HL-C2 Series is a range of ultra high speed, precision laser displacement devices using high resolution CMOS sensors with highly functional controllers. In addition to the diffuse type products designed for measuring position, profile, height etc the system is also capable of measuring similar properties on glass substrate with a specular reflective head.
The HL-G1 series is a lower specification product targeted at more general applications with the sensing head containing all the control functions and a digital LED Display. Measurement resolutions of 0.5µm are possible and measurement data can be processed in the units with digital set points and analogue outputs. The multifunction types offer RS485/422 serial communication together with built in data logging.
For measurement requirements where optical based technology is suitable the GP-X sensors offers inductive eddy current technology as an alternative. The separated head device can measure stainless and carbon steel material to a high accuracy.
