LEARN HOW TO REDUCE THE COST OF OWNING GAS DETECTION SYSTEMS AT WWEM 2010
New cost effective infrared flammable gas detector
Traditional gas detection technologies used in the challenging environment of waste water treatment applications can be problematic. Low levels of oxygen, wet environments, poisoning by H2S and short sensor life lead to frequent maintenance and calibration.
Using Draeger’s superior technology can eradicate these problems, half maintenance costs and improve reliability.
Draeger toxic gas and oxygen sensors are significantly larger than traditional sensors leading to extremely long life, 3 years in the case of our Oxygen sensor. This reduces replacements or spares holding, and the high accuracy of the intelligent Draeger sensor extends calibration intervals to one year.
Our new cost effective infrared flammable gas detector PIR3000 replaces traditional pellistor or catalytic bead technologies that are prone to poisoning and high drift. Infrared is immune to the presence of H2S or low levels of oxygen, common problems in WWTP’s. The high accuracy inherent in infrared technology means that like our O2, or H2S sensors, calibration is only required annually, and with an expected life of over 15 years spares and replacement parts are vastly reduced.
