Bellingham + Stanley launch the OPTi-Dispense dual scale digital hand held refractometer at Brau Beviale, Nuremburg on November 9, 2011.
The OPTi-Dispense dual scale digital hand held refractometer designed and manufactured in the UK by Bellingham + Stanley is specifically designed for use by cellar service engineers that install and maintain both post-mix beverage and beer dispense equipment by providing both Brix and %Glycol measurement from a single digital device.

Not only is the OPTi-Dispense unique in it”s dual scale offering for cellar service applications; increased performance in the field is uniquely provided by “two channel temperature compensation” that unlike other commonly used optical or digital refractometers using only sugar based temperature compensation for all measurements, are specifically matched to the fluid under test in order to provide an even higher of level of performance.
OPTi refractometers are constructed using the latest manufacturing techniques with field usage in mind including stainless steel injection molding to construct the easy clean prism dish, ultrasonic welding to bond the housings and a rubberized switch membrane to further protect against moisture ingress and excess wear.
Other single scale and dual scale OPTi refractometers are available for use in the brewing and beverage industry including those for measuring the sugar content of grape must at time of harvest must, specific gravity or °Plato of beer mash (wort), alcohol content of finished beers and wine when used in conjunction with a hydrometer and on-line calculator as well as for automotive fluids such as antifreeze or Adblue® used in cold chain distribution.
All OPTi refractometers are supplied with a Certificate of Calibration as standard and are verified during their manufacture using UKAS Certified Reference Materials manufactured in accordance with EN ISO IEC 17025:2005 that are traceable to NIST.
