First IP66 Microwave Technology Released For Industrial Food Applications

DanTech UK Ltd, is introducing the very latest technology with the WaveGen 80 microwave transmitter and SPS polarised feeds

The WaveGen 80 is the first IP66 (dust and waterproof) 75 kW industrial power supply unit released for industrial food applications. Already in daily use in the USA at many plants, DanTech is introducing the latest microwave applicators for the tempering of frozen meat, fruit and fish products, bacon cooking and in the dairy industry.

With a proven track record in industrial microwave technology, DanTech rather than developing their own transmitter has turned to ThermoWave of Danvers, Massachusetts, a company with combined knowledge of more than 100 years making transmitters.

The microwave applicators and electronic controls for tempering, cooking, pre-heating etc. are made by DanTech in the UK and packaged together.

Developed by ThermoWave the Advanced Polar Technology has resulted in the most uniform circular microwave output in the industry today. Called the SPS (Synthesised Polar System). Currently available in two variants, SPS Straight Feed and SPS Folded Feed.

These Feeds are already in use on cooking systems in the bacon industry and the results are outstanding. The SPS Folded Feed are a direct replacement for rotating antenna feeds which require frequent service and maintenance.
