Make UK joins forces with West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services (WYMS) to boost environmental and health & safety training in the North of England

The Manufacturers’ organisation, Make UK are joining forces with West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services in Brighouse to bring the best in environmental and health and safety training to the North of England.

The collaboration between Make UK and West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services will come into force from 1st January 2024, when Make UK’s Health, Safety and Sustainability training will be added to the extensive offer already available, to support manufacturers and engineers at WYMS’ facility in Brighouse.

Just minutes from Junction 25 of the M62, WYMS’ purpose-built facilities with state-of-the-art training and conference technology, provide an ideal learning environment. Combined with Make UK’s experienced, professional trainers who have industry recognised qualifications and practical experience, this collaboration opens up access to the resources, expertise and facilities, to businesses throughout the North of England.

Stephen Phipson, CEO of Make UK said “This collaboration with West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services is a great opportunity to boost the importance of sustainability and health & safety across a key industrial region. Chris Newson, Health, Safety & Sustainability Director at Make UK has been an integral part of setting up the partnership and said, “We are delighted to partner with West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services, which allows us to combine the best in environment, health, and safety training with a fantastic learning environment in the North of England”.

The partnership will be officially launched by Stephen Phipson on 29th November at WYMS’ training facilities in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
