State-of-the-art Valves & Controls Configuration Centre opened

Pentair’s Actuation & Controls, a Valves & Controls product platform, is pleased to announce the opening of a new, state-of-the-art Configuration Centre at its existing Morin plant in Pelham, Alabama. One of the latest in a series of openings, the new centre will bring the Biffi ICON 2000 electric actuator series closer to its US customers, providing local assembly and configuration services and reducing lead times.

Demonstrating Pentair Actuation & Controls commitment to delivering its global solutions with a local expertise, the new Configuration Centre offers accelerated delivery cycles and maximum flexibility. It features the same facilities as Biffi’s European base, staffed with local personnel trained by Biffi Italia to deliver tailored solutions to the US market.

A variety of models and performance characteristics will be available at the new centre, allowing Pentair Actuation & Controls to tailor its Biffi ICON 2000 actuator to meet the specific needs of each customer, as well as meeting the highest safety requirements for the US market. The centre provides commissioning and MRO services to its customers, with assembly, configuration and testing capabilities on-site. Experts can also reconfigure base ICONs to customer networks and logic requirements to meet individual specificities. With a site in the US, order turnaround times will be reduced to four to six weeks, minimising downtime in existing facilities and avoid delays in the construction of new plants.

Biffi ICON 2000 electric actuators are available in quarter- and multi-turn options and are ideal for onshore and offshore oil and gas installations and LNG facilities, as well as other industrial applications such as mining, water, power and process. The Configuration Centre in Pelham follows a series of similar openings across the globe, including Australia, China, Mexico and Brazil.
