Leading blower manufacturer, Robuschi and pump manufacturer Milton Roy, part of Ingersoll Rand, are inviting operators from the wastewater industry to sign up for their virtual conference on the 4th of November 2021 at https://bit.ly/WWTevent, with €10 donated to the international charity, WaterAid for each attendee.

The online event will include a broad range of expert industry speakers who will discuss the key issues affecting this energy-intensive sector through a series of seminars and discussions, as well as highlighting the complete range of Ingersoll Rand equipment solutions for water and wastewater applications.

The free-of-charge, one-day conference will be hosted in a virtual environment where attendees can take part in webinars, discuss issues with water industry experts and download a range of content to help with their purchasing and specification decisions.

About the conference

The conference includes an expert panel discussion that will explore the future of industrial technology for the wastewater industry over the next decade. It includes independent insight from the British Compressed Air Society, as well as from a range of industrial equipment dealers and distributors.

Russel Frost, Product Manager at Ingersoll Rand (VPTech & PD Blower division)[1] will offer insight into total cost of ownership and turndown capability over the average lifecycle of a treatment plant; a vital consideration when selecting blower equipment that will perform cost-efficiently throughout its service life.

A further seminar, led by Antonio Stefanile, Product Manager at Ingersoll Rand (VPTech & PD Blower Robuschi division)[2] will cover the areas to consider when specifying blower equipment for wastewater treatment applications. This will discuss why selecting on rated energy efficiency alone is not the best measure of the long-term operating costs – and should take into account the variety of technology options now available, alongside ongoing maintenance requirements.

The third seminar of the day will be hosted by Olivier Duplessy, Commercial Director, EMEA – Water and General Industries, CP & Aftermarket at Milton Roy[3]. It will discuss turndown considerations for metering pumps and how these can help accommodate changes in plant demand over a period of time and have a positive impact on a facility’s bottom line if specified correctly.

Gareth Topping, Business Line Director for Vacuum and Low Pressure Solutions at Ingersoll Rand added:

“The conference will provide delegates with a host of new insights to help with the specification, operation and lifetime performance of their blower and vacuum pump equipment.  Some studies suggest that the initial price can represent less that 10 per cent of the total lifetime costs for industrial equipment, with energy costs and maintenance representing at least five times more than the upfront costs.

“We aim to equip operators with the latest information that will help to implement a robust, long-term strategy to reduce ownership costs and improve uptime in mission-critical wastewater treatment applications.

“We are also using the event to showcase our range of solutions for the water and wastewater treatment industry.  These bring together our renowned expertise in lobe, screw and turbo blowers, alongside low-pressure compressed air and vacuum solutions, offering one point of contact for sales, service and technical support.

“Finally, we are proud to be supporting WaterAid through the event with €10 donated for each delegate that registers and attends the conference.  One in ten people globally have no access to clean water close to home, so what better way for the wastewater community to come together and help make a lasting difference to the lives of 785 million people.”

Registration for the event is open at https://bit.ly/WWTevent. Delegates will be sent full conference programme details after registering.
