Bearing material for moist and underwater applications
A wear-resistant self-lubricating bearing material, Vesconite Hilube, is supplied from the UK in rod, bushing and plate form.
“Vesconite Hilube is our flagship grade, designed for particularly difficult operating environments,” states Vesconite UK champion Rosa Brandt.
“The material is specifically recommended for moist and underwater applications,” she says, noting that Vesconite Hilube is ideal for the pump and marine industries, where regular maintenance is neither practical nor cost-effective.
Vesconite Hilube incorporates internal lubricants that translate into an exceptionally low friction coefficient.
Combined with excellent dimensional stability, low wear rates and a high load-bearing capacity, Vesconite Hilube has a PV rating (pressure x velocity) four times that of nylon bushings.
