ystral Extends New Validation Centre to Increase Testing Capacity
Plant and equipment manufacturer to complete new building by end of October
Dispersion and mixing technology specialist ystral is investing approximately €1.8 million in a new validation center in its headquarters in Ballrechten-Dottingen, Germany. The center will allow the company to conduct additional tests and further refine on the test conditions that can be provided to customers. The clients do not have to be present on-site when trials are conducted but can observe them from a distance through a live stream
ystral designs, develops and manufactures highly efficient powder wetting, dispersing and mixing machines and process systems. The new validation centre expands the test capacity of ystral, as its current application technology centre and development laboratory are completely booked.
Construction of the new validation centre is a milestone in our company's history – for this is where we all finally come together with our customers,\” declares ystral Managing Director and shareholder Peter Manke. Completion is planned by the end of October.
Capacity to Handle Flammable and Explosive Media
The new center will provide production companies with the possibility to test ystral technology in a pilot mode, train staff on ystral technology and use the centre for method and product development. The centre can also conduct safe tests with flammable or explosive media.
A wide choice of options for analysis will be available. Samples can be analyzed under an optical microscope and analyzed for a range of parameters. Determination of density and dynamic light scattering particle size are both available. Viscosity can be measured by a range of methods with or without temperature control, and shear rate curves can be built.
Remote Participation via Livestream
Producers worldwide already use the test facilities of ystral. With the new validation center, the company aims to widen its global presence.
“Not that they need to be on site during the tests, but they can observe them remotely via a livestream,” explains Uwe Klaumünzner, Manager of the ystral validation centre. “Nevertheless, many of our customers still want to come back to us because of our transparency, all-round support throughout the trials – and last but not least, the picturesque surroundings.”
