Brownell introduce combined in line dryer
Brownell has introduced a combined in line dryer which adsorbs water contamination and in addition filters particles and other foreign debris from fluids and oils.Â
Using the active adsorbent the in line dryer is capable of reducing water levels to less than 10 ppm depending on the fluid or oil being dried.
Many important fluid properties including viscosity, temperature stability and insulation levels can be adversely affected by a high concentration of humidity in the form of water vapour. Water vapour can also cause irreversible chemical instability if water concentration reaches unacceptable levels.
The in line dryer prevents property changes caused by water contamination including viscosity, emulsification and icing at low temperatures. The in line dryer can be used for heat transfer fluids, inks and transformer oils.
Heat transfer fluids are required to operate at low temperatures (-20 C) without the fluid freezing or crystallising within the system. In line dryers are often used in combination with a pre dryer when a high water loading requires removal.
