“Building a fountain in Chad” – H2O GmbH Donates to African Water Project
-To mark World Water Day on 22 March
A day dedicated to the world’s most important resource: World Water Day is celebrated annually on 22 March, and this year’s motto is “Water and sustainable development”. In keeping with this, H2O GmbH is donating money to support a sustainable water project in Chad, namely in Ba-illi.
Many of the people living in Ba-illi have no access to clean drinking water, and children in particular fall ill from the contaminated water. The project run by certified aid organisation World Vision in Chad thus seeks to achieve more hygienic conditions and better health through drink fountains and toilets.
H2O GmbH has been regularly supporting aid projects, primarily relating to water, for over ten years. It most recently donated to a project in West Africa three months ago, which saw the money go towards financing a groundwater fountain for the people of Sierra Leone.
