We are delighted to announce the launch of the new Optris Xi series of compact spot finder Infrared Cameras, a fusion between a robust compact Pyrometer and an advanced Infrared Camera. The integrated spot finder function enables accurate temperature measurements on moving objects without having to readjust the sensor.

Both the Xi 80 (80 x 80 pixels with recording speeds of up to 50 frames per second) and the higher resolution Xi 400 (382 x 288 pixels and a faster frame rate of 80Hz) are calibrated for temperature measurements in the range -20°C to 900°C.

The Xi 80 has a direct 0/4-20mA analogue output, whilst the Xi 400 has a 0–10 V output, and both models also offer users digital interfaces such as Ethernet or RS485. A further nine freely definable analogue outputs can be added via the external processing interface.

The Xi 80 and the Xi 400 are both equipped with a motorised focus enabling remote focusing via the PIX Connect imaging software. As well as free software, the units are supplied with mounting nut and bracket, USB and process interface cables.
