Based on Version 3 of its innovative SE-1 engineering calculation software, Cheltenham based steam specialist TLV Euro Engineering has developed TLV ToolBox, an iPhone App that is available as a free download from the Apple App Store and a version for Google’s Android mobile operating system will be available in the coming months.

The new iPhone-optimised App has been developed for Apple’s iOS 5 mobile operating system and offers field engineers some of the power of TLV’s Windows-based SE-1 software on a handheld smart phone.

Features of the new TLV ToolBox App include standard unit conversions; steam tables; steam pipe sizing (by velocity, flow rate and pressure loss); velocity and flow rates through a pipe; condensate pipe sizing; direct/indirect heat loads; continual/batch heat loads; a KV calculator, and flow rates through orifice or valve.

The multi-language TLV ToolBox App is available in English, French, German, and Japanese initially. It is compatible with major pipe schedules (DIN, ANSI, JIS) and all major imperial and metric units.
