Strengthening UK Manufacturing at the New Harworth Facility
A significant milestone in the transformation was relocating Qlar’s UK operations to a newly expanded manufacturing facility in Harworth, Doncaster. This purpose-built space consolidates manufacturing, service, and office functions under one roof, enhancing efficiency and boosting the company's capacity to produce advanced pneumatic conveying systems locally.
“Our move to Harworth underscores our commitment to delivering innovative, climate-neutral solutions while promoting UK-based production,” says Nick. The facility also offers faster response and delivery times, positioning Qlar closer to its customers and allowing for quicker, more tailored solutions. “This local expertise enables us to develop products with greater speed and precision, providing a clear competitive advantage.”
Test and Innovation Centre at Shaw Lane, Doncaster
A cornerstone of Qlar’s capabilities in the UK is the Test and Innovation Centre at Shaw Lane, Doncaster, where customers can see pneumatic conveying solutions in action. “This facility gives our customers confidence in the performance of our systems,” Nick notes.
The new Harworth site also integrates advanced digital tools like the CONiQ Cloud e-Dense Meter, a system that optimizes dense phase conveying systems, reducing energy consumption and operational costs. Qlar’s local aftermarket experts, along with its service and commissioning team, continue to ensure seamless support for pneumatic systems, enhancing reliability and process efficiency.
