Unlike other watertight connectors, Marechal IP68 connectors incorporate a unique locking ring and five individual contacts as well as best-in-class durability of 2000 load cycles.
The connectors are manufactured in a UL94V0-rated thermoplastic, glass-fibre reinforced housing which is resistant to a wide range of corrosive materials and contaminants, such as industrial oils, dust, fats and detergents. Additional protection against accidental damage is provided by Class IK 08 resistance to shocks. The five-contact design, which is rated for currents of up to 16A, provides excellent conductivity and the contacts are corrosion-proofed with silver-nickel tips to provide an extended operational lifetime.
These quick-fit connectors help to reduce costs throughout their lifetime. Fast connection allows project or electrical engineers to reduce labour costs during installation and maintenance. Further savings can be realised with the connectors’ exceptional durability which increases their operational lifetime and reduces overheads for replacement and repair of damaged connectors.
