Hansford Sensors, the leading UK manufacturer of industrial accelerometers, has announced that it is to renew its sponsorship of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) driver Tom Ingram for a second season.

This is one of the highest profile motorsport series in the UK and Tom made a name for himself last year as the leading rookie driver, with some great racing and outstanding qualifying and points scoring finishes. We’ve got great hopes for podium positions in 2015, especially as Tom will be driving a new car for the Speedworks team.”

Tom Ingram is a three-time Ginetta Champion and former British Karting Champion and was the BTCC’s standout rookie last year behind the wheel of Speedworks’ #80 Toyota Avensis. During the course of a remarkable maiden campaign in the ITV4 live-televised championship, the gifted young driver tallied no fewer than 19 points finishes from 30 starts – 13 of them inside the top ten – en route to 14th spot amongst the 32 high-calibre contenders in the final standings and 11th in the Independents’ Trophy, comfortably the best-placed newcomer.
Not only that, but Ingram qualified in the top ten at half of the meetings and three times inside the top six and – demonstrating no fear of illustrious reputations – went quite literally doorhandle-to-doorhandle with some of the very best touring car protagonists on the planet.
