Titan Enterprises launches redesigned hygienic oval gear flowmeters for process industries
Titan Enterprises has introduced a newly engineered generation of its OG3 and OG4 hygienic oval gear flowmeters, delivering enhanced performance for hygienic processing applications while maintaining the original dimensions of previous models. This means customers can upgrade existing installations with minimal disruption, as the new flowmeters are fully interchangeable with earlier OG3 and OG4 units.
The latest development reinforces Titan Enterprises' commitment to providing highly accurate flow measurement solutions for demanding industrial environments where hygiene, reliability and repeatable performance are essential. The redesigned flowmeters are particularly suited to food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, biotechnology, cosmetics and personal care processing, where stringent cleanliness standards and precise liquid measurement are critical.
Engineered for hygienic processing applications
The new OG3 and OG4 hygienic flowmeters feature an electropolished stainless steel finish, creating a smooth, corrosion-resistant and easy-to-clean surface. This hygienic construction helps manufacturers meet the strict cleaning and sanitation requirements expected across regulated process industries.
Designed for applications involving hygienic liquid handling, the improved surface finish also assists with reducing product retention during cleaning processes, making the flowmeters well suited to production environments where contamination must be minimised and process reliability maintained.
Fully machined construction improves performance
One of the most significant enhancements in the redesigned flowmeters is the move from a cast body construction to a fully machined engineered design.
This precision-machined construction delivers greater mechanical strength while supporting the exceptional measurement accuracy and repeatability for which Titan Enterprises' oval gear flowmeters are well known. By machining each component to tight manufacturing tolerances, the new design provides improved robustness without changing the external dimensions, allowing straightforward replacement within existing systems.
“The redesigned OG3 and OG4 flowmeters reflect our commitment to continuous product advancement and responding to the evolving needs of hygienic processing industries,” said Jeremy Thorne, Operations Manager at Titan Enterprises. “By moving to a fully machined design, we have achieved an advanced product that meets the cleanliness requirements of modern manufacturing environments.“
Improved electronics for greater reliability
The redesigned OG flowmeter range with Hall effect detection also benefits from upgraded electronics, providing additional protection against mis-wiring and electrical surges. This enhancement helps improve long-term operational reliability in demanding industrial environments where dependable performance is essential.
As standard, the upgraded circuit board now supports both NPN and PNP outputs, providing greater flexibility for integration into a wide range of industrial control systems. The Hall effect sensor configuration is suitable for applications operating at temperatures up to 100°C.
These improvements make installation simpler for OEMs, systems integrators and end users while helping reduce the likelihood of downtime caused by electrical issues.
Accurate flow measurement across a wide viscosity range
The OG3 and OG4 hygienic flowmeters are designed to provide highly accurate volumetric measurement of liquids across a broad viscosity range. Their proven oval gear technology delivers excellent repeatability, making them suitable for applications where precise dosing, batching and process control are essential.
Thanks to their compact footprint and robust construction, the flowmeters can be integrated into both OEM equipment and existing production systems where reliable liquid flow measurement is required without compromising available installation space.
The combination of durable construction, hygienic design and proven measurement performance makes the new flowmeters suitable for a wide variety of processing applications where product quality and process efficiency depend on accurate flow monitoring.
Supporting modern process industries
The launch of the redesigned OG3 and OG4 models further strengthens Titan Enterprises' portfolio of high-performance flow measurement solutions. By combining hygienic engineering, improved durability and trusted oval gear technology, the company continues to support manufacturers looking for reliable and accurate liquid flow measurement across a range of demanding industries.
Maintaining the same installation dimensions as previous models also provides customers with a straightforward upgrade path, helping minimise installation time while preserving existing pipework and system layouts.
The redesigned OG3 and OG4 hygienic oval gear flowmeters are available now.
