Growth in demand for wireless instrumentation sees Mantracourt expand its production capabilities.
UK based instrumentation equipment manufacturer Mantracourt has announced that it has expanded its production capabilities in order to address the growing demand for its range of instrumentation products.
In this new 26 page Application Guide AG310 the well known guru Chris Towle explains the philosophy of Zone 2 apparatus and how extra low voltage Ex nA certified instrumentation may be safely installed in these low risk areas. Current ATEX and IECEx standards are discussed together with installation practice, constructional requirements, documentation and routine inspection. Of particular interest is the use of Ex nA certified apparatus with instruments using other protection techniques. Chris shows how an Ex nA loop powered indicator in Zone 2 may be used to monitor the output from a Zone 1 Ex d transmitter, simplifying installation and reducing cost.
ABB’s Measurement Products business unit has invested in a state-of-the-art instrumentation, calibration, repair and training facility at its UK manufacturing site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire offering the advantages of unparalleled access to equipment and expertise for UK and International customers.
A visit to the Ashtead Technology stand (J51) at Sustainabilitylive! (Birmingham NEC, 22-24th May, 2012) will be a primary objective for anyone involved with environmental testing and monitoring. This is because many of the sector’s latest technologies will be on display and visitors will be actively encouraged to try out new instruments for a wide range of applications including gas detection, noise, dust and vibration monitoring, water testing, thermography and remote visual inspection.
Transducer specialist RDP Electronics Ltd has developed transducers designed to withstand the corrosive environment encountered in pulp and paper manufacturing processes.
Mantracourt's wireless potentiometer acquisition module enables collection and processing of potentiometer based sensors.
Leading electronic instrumentation manufacturer Mantracourt has announced the release of its new wireless telemetry potentiometer acquisition module.
The T24-RA wireless potentiometer module is designed for the collection and processing of potentiometer related measurements such as provided by a linear displacement transducer. The module calculates the resistance and periodically transmits it to a remote receiver. Between transmissions the device is optionally put into a power saving sleep mode to conserve batteries.
Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA (21 February 2012) — The International Society of Automation (ISA) and San Jacinto College, Pasadena, Texas, USA, announced today a collaborative partnership to provide local-area students with access to ISA’s instrumentation curriculum at San Jacinto College. This collaboration will ensure flexible course offerings and hands-on learning opportunities to prepare workers for careers in automation and control.
Through this collaboration, the college will be able to expand its instrumentation-related continuing education offerings and ISA will be able to provide its technical training courses to local industry professionals at a location that is convenient and cost effective for them. Local automation professionals looking to enhance and grow their existing knowledge will benefit from being able to enroll in these ISA course offerings at San Jacinto College, a convenience that will reduce training travel costs for their companies and themselves.
